Hello all,
I didn't really expect to be here. Due to a tax loophole that closes at the end of the year, I was forced to buy a new truck. I have had many F150's in the past and to tell you the truth I was not really too excited to buy another one. For the last 3 years I have had an 4 x 4 Avalanche which drives much more like a car than a truck. (I am an avid kiteboarder and only bought that because it had the secure bed that I keep all my kiting gear) Anyway, I went to the Ford dealership where an old friend works and we started browsing the trucks with my 14 y.o. son. A brand new 2012 bad a$$ Silver Raptor just arrived. I had heard of them but had not paid much attention. Well I had to have it according to the boy so here I am. It doesn't have all the whistles and bells but I just got my exhaust cuttout that we are psyched about. Thanks to all the posters especially the ones with the how-to pics. I'm sure I will be on this site regularly. One thing that is kinda irritating is that everyone seems to call it a "Rapture" even the paperwork from the dealer had that typed on there. Has anyone else noticed that? Well when I drive up the road with the exhaust bypass maybe it will seem like the Rapture is coming!! My daughter pointed out that I have an affinity for the reptile vehicles as I have 69 Mach 1 with a 428 COBRA jet, also have a gen III Viper and now my beloved Raptor. I feel like "Foe to the Environment" since none get over 10mpg. Oh well Happy Raptoring ALL.
