I was ready and willing to pay someone to do it until i got some prices, the best one was around $300.

I am going to try a red pinstripe as well.

I found most of what I needed from this thread from you guys: http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f11/3m-vinyl-partial-hood-wrap-16521/index2.html

Don't scratch this. Order some vinyl from here and order some knifeless tape and do it yourself. The great thing about it is that you can remove it if you f it up.

You could get 10 by 5 feet just in case for just over $100.

Knifeless Tape - Finish Line

get a roll of this tape and you are golden. If you need help, PM me and I can walk you through the process... and you don't have to take your hood off. Super easy.

Check out this demo of using the tape

I want to get this exact thing done, but do you think I can find a place in my podunk town to do it? I think they're skerd. Looks great btw.

Anyone with some patience should be able to do it...the 3M 1080 Matte Black is easy to work with and the knife less tape makes it even better... No worries about sticking a razor into your paint!

Try a sign, tint, body shop they should have someone who can work with you or suggest someone who can...

I am by no means an expert and if my wife and me can do it should be easy for most anyone.

I like it, agree with the others that the skidplate should go black too. A heatgun really helps getting rounded edges, good thing our trucks hoods are flat, makes it doable without heat!

I like it. I thought about doing that on my black screw just so the bug guts won't damage the paint. I don't like the clear wraps since you an see the edges curl up. Flat black looks sick.

Im thinking of trying for this mod one handed with the lady holding up in front the hood as a lay it! How was laying it down without receiving many air bubbles throughout? I'm going to go with a dark Carbon color to match the grill though. Does the black clash with the hood if you were to do it over with a specific color? I'm worried the black on the hood might throw the flaires off with there carbon color

I have a great heat gun so that might make things more user friendly along the way, with my GIANT credit card of course, lol!

Thanks!
