Hood Shimmy at Highway Speeds

Mine shakes. I noticed it after installed my hood mounts. Upon further investigation it wasnt the hood mounts at all that caused them. There was a lot of play in the sheet metal where the hood itself mounts to the latch arms. I could flex the front of the hood 4-6 inches before the latch ever budged.

Yep, all of my Raptors have done it and never had one blow back on me yet.

Well that makes me feel a little better. I don't know of anyone else who has had 3 Raptors.

Shooter's used to things blowing in his face, not sure why his ******* are in a bunch about the hood.

See OP, I had a hood blow in my face, all over my face. There was blow all over me! It blew so hard I shit my pants!

Ha, yeah... Both of my other ones are still here locally that I see from time to time. If you take into account another Raptor that lived with me for a while during a high-point in my life, you can say I've "had" 4. If you wanted to count another that I almost adopted, but was very close to, that would make 5. lol.

And to think that I ever sold my first one! :snoopfacepalm:

I have the same setup as you (Raptor Claws and Mid Perch) and I do get a little bit of wiggle when I'm driving. It's only really noticeable when there's a strong crosswind though.
