Hood keeps opening.

So, I now know exactly what is going on... my hood is not opening when I pull the lever, at least not right when you pull it. Yesterday, I wanted to pop the hood to check something, when I popped it nothing, the latch didn't release and I could not open the hood at all! So, I thought that maybe it would pop when I drove it and it did! Anyway, it's like a delayed reaction so I guess i need to adjust the latch?

Have you ever pulled off the grill or the top plastic shroud for a mod?

When I put in my IC relocate kit I had to remove the latch. When I reinstalled it the latch had to be readjusted a few times to get the hood to open properly.
