I want to give my clear bra guy a heads up so it doesn't happen when I get mine done.

My experience with car (truck) bras isn't much, but I have had some grit get between the bra and the paint and cause a chip-like blemish.

By and large, IMO, the bra can cause more problems than it solves. Though, I suppose off-road following presents much more severe possibilities than the highway does.

You might try a kitchen cling-wrap before those potentially damaging trips.
I know that I am not meticulous enough to assure the inside of the bra is super clean, so bras are not a mod that I would use.

there's a difference between a clear bra and a traditional style bra. We're talking about clear bra's that are a clear film that is installed and sticks to the paint and is nearly invisible once installed, but provides excellent paint protection.

I've also used the traditional style vinyl bras with soft backing, and they're not for permanent use. They're great for long road trips, and if your paint is waxed and you only install it when the paint is clean, you won't have any issues, but they aren't ideal for every day use like a clear bra.
