I’ll have to look for the video, it is on YouTube. Video is actually about a new prerunner he built but it is brought up that he was the driver of that jump.

If I recall they did the jump a few times, it was getting late and they wanted footage and he just went for it.

After some internet sleuthing I found the Raptor owner that broke his neck. All makes sense now.

It helps a lot to have a slight downslope where you land. The spot he landed looks not only flat, but possibly a little upslope from them digging for the mound. This would significantly increase the impact at landing and cause the exaggerated rebound seen in the video.
