I still like my option. Tow Raptor and bikes with F650, then park it in the back yard.

I'm pretty confident that at that price point I can come up with limitless options. However if I don't have room for a trailer, I certainly don't have room for the F650!

Those are really nice well built trailers, little more expensive than a trailer in a bag though.
Yeah. Honestly if I go for a small folding trailer I'll likely visit Harbor Freight. But again, I'm trying to see if I can make the hitch hauler work first. Perfect world, at some point I can also pick up and figure out how to store a decent car hauler (in lieu of any motorcycle trailer). That's for the future though.

haha...wow. didn't realize there's a difference in payload. I wouldn't worry about it as long as your close. I guess they really did reinforce the frames on the 13's. Only thing i can think of that would account for the change. And the 12's weigh 100 lbs more. Something doesn't make sense.

Well... depends on your definition of close. I think I'd be close to the 2013 payload. 700lbs of bike, + 375 worth of passengers and maybe 2-3 hundred pounds of gear. That puts me in the 1,300 pound range - exceeding the 2012 payload rating, but right within the 2013.

Here is a pic of my set up.
Its just a cheap "ranch bike" and way lighter than a single dual sport.
Along with the hitch mount I usually carry 10 gal of fuel, 10 gal of water, full tool box, chain saws, and timber gear in the bed.
My road is a good 30 minute 4x4 high range trail before getting to the cabin and I have bottomed this set up out a few times when I start to get in "rally" mode.
Even if the receiver weight limit and the carrier is in spec, two bike would not make it off road without damage.
Seems risky to me.

...Trailer time.
