Man that sucks! Sorry dude! If the airbags stayed put, I bet they pay to fix it. You can always take the money instead of letting them fix it, then you can get it fixed how you want!

Two years ago, I brough home a bull elk after using my F150 to break the dumb shit's back at 60mph. Rainy, dark night. The oncoming fool did not dim his brights. When the fool was about three car lengths coming at me, I saw a dark flash and pow! Fractions of a second. My front end looked very similar to yours. The elk was tasty though. One way to get even. My autobody shop put her back looking like new. They did miss a tiny bit though. When I hit the bull, his front hooves flapped around the passenger side and left two small hoof prints in the door panel. The repair shop should have only minor issues finding parts and she will be as good as new.

If the insurance company tries to total it, you have the right to purchase it from them at "salvage value". IE, your payout cash would be somewhat less. Personally, I would fix that truck myself. Life would be really easy if you can find a same color fender. Check this web site for parts. I have found them to be very competative.
kind of like ebay for parts.

Good luck getting the body shop to anything other than stock parts. Most insurance shops won’t do “ custom” work.
If he lets the insurance take it to a "partner" shop they will only install stock parts that meet oem spec. however if he tells the agent he will find his own body shop he can take it to any other body shop and get a quote for the repair. the quote would be to replace the stock parts but once he has the quote all he needs to do is submit that to the insurance and they will give him a check for that amount and he can use that money to buy the aftermarket parts and have any shop do the work.

I have done this 2 times with geico.
