Got home this evening and plugged the projectors back in. Drivers side came on, but passenger would not fire. Turned lights off, and Drivers side stayed on. I tapped the relay, and it clicked off. Could not get the passenger side to fire.

Switched passenger side projector to drivers side, and it came on. Turned off lights, and it stayed lit. Again, tapped the relay, and it shut off.

So, don't know if we can rule out the harness yet, but looks to be something wrong with the relay. I have another morimoto relay and harness being overnighted, so hopefully it will get here tomorrow and I can finish it this weekend. If anyone has any other thoughts, please let me know.

Thanks again for all the help.

Definitely the relay box, but keep us informed.

Just make sure you have a good ground, and power. I would just go ahead and replace the harness and controller that you have coming. I had to replace my harness and controller on my truck, for the same issue. At each ground point I ground off the paint to insure a good ground.

Thanks guys. Both grounds are on the factory ground point, on either side of the radiator.

What do you mean by factory ground? The 2012 came with halogen lights, no ground needed. Can you take a pic?

Edit: you're probably talking about the ground on the top of the fenders?

There is a ground connection on both sides of the radiator. I'll try and take a picture tonight or tomorrow. It has a bonding wire already attached to it.

Relays bad, I would just get a complete new harness to be sure, sounds like you also have some corrosion or a bad connection on one of the plugs.

I had that corrosion issue on the plugs and the HIDs would go on and off intermittently. I cut them off and spliced the wires directly. Problem solved.

Update-

Just got finished and everything is working now. I had already zip tied and neatly configured the harness, so I swapped out the relay first to check. With the new relay, everything worked as it should. So, I'll hang on to the 2nd harness for a backup.

Thanks again to everyone for there help, I really appreciate it. Is it common for those moto control relays to go bad, or just one of those things?
