Well after a few posts, I guess it's time to make an intro.

I'm Jim (Jimbo), live in northern IL and am waiting to pull the trigger on a Raptor.

I've owned just about anything fun and never seem to hang on to anything. A few pictures with details show a few past toys.

I usually only keep things for 4-8 months, give or take. These are the only noteworthy things.

98' Explorer, built 5.0L - boring... sold it
2006 Harley Sportster 1200L - OK, but not fast enough
2005 GSXR1000 - Probably should have died, but didn't
2003 Cobra (black) - 625rwhp, ran a 10.78 first time at the track
2006 Jeep SRT8 - Sweet truck, transmission was the weak point...
2006 F250 6.0L - Awesome truck, but it only lasted 1 month
2006 BMW M3 - Fun car, threw snow tires on it, not fast enough...
2004 Cobra (red) - 450rwhp, super clean... sold it and got my wife her engagement ring...

Had quite a few things in between but nothing I decided to keep, for now, I'm in a 2011 Fusion Sport that had everything under the sun, but took it all back to stock in preparation for a Raptor soon.

Anyway... that's about it! I've enjoyed lurking here for quite a while now.

It was fun while it lasted. My wife doesn't get it, she's only had 2 cars her entire life, while I've gone through 25+ in 10 years. But, she's given the initial approval for the Raptor, but wants me to wait until December/January to pull the trigger. I've found a nice 10,000 mile 2013, but there is still something to be said about buy it brand new.

I don't get it either, that is a lot of vehicles but man what fun. I am sure there will always be a used raptor to be had somewhere. But if you have been lurking then you know you need to get moving if you want to get a new one.

Yeah I need to! However I don't want to risk wrath of the wife when she comes home from work one day and there's the new truck sitting in the garage. So I'm treading lightly and waiting for her official approval.
