Hi all,

I am Mike, new member here trying to make up his mind on a Raptor. I am a long time G-Wagen owner, experienced off-roader with a never ending thirst for finding new trails.

You should plan on cheking out the Raptor roundup next Saturday in Vegas and you will find the answer you seek.

Going there for sure - was at the last two raptor roundups as well. Loved the truck on the track!

Would have love to see how is does in rocks, maybe this year there are some additional track feature? Thought I heard a bit about mud or rocks in the radio ad.

However my mayor concerns are, that the stock height scares me in terms of the trails I like to take. Being used to a much shorter and narrower off road vehicle and the ramp-over angle of the Raptor instock form is not to my liking and would really like to find a reasonable solution to add some height.

hahaha! Going thru the different lift threads I already had many laughs!

Wouldn't care about people liking it as long as it works for my off-road purposes.

Welcome! Remember at the end of the day it's your truck! Here's a picture of what we did at the end of October maybe it will help.

Cant say too much about rocks, but a couple of weekends after we got ours, we took it up to a local ORV area, it was SICK with deep, slimy mud and lots of it. Even with the stock TA/KO rubber and perch setting, the truck was AMAZING. You will absolutely notice the wheel track width, long wheelbase and turning radius difference in the truck vs most other 4x4's, it plows new ruts in many cases cause it's wider than almost everything else out there sept an H1. For the like 5 hours we were slogging through the mud, sons and I didn't have to get pulled out once, and ended up unsticking literally 5 other trucks/jeeps.

Check out my 3-D analog mud graphics design.
