Hello gentlemen!

I'll start by saying I've wanted a raptor since the very first prototype pictures were leaked years ago and recentally I've convinced myself I would have a practical purpose for it so I will be picking up my long awaited fully loaded race red 12' screw this wed!!!!

I do quite a bit of driving, hopefully 20k mi this yr and need to make this thing as liveable as possible so I need some advice on what are the necessary
mods to make it driveable on the street and around town? (don't worry it will still make it to the rough stuff plenty often)

What I'm planning on

-Tint the windows (duh)
-I've found the tailgate easy let down mod and plan on ordering it on monday.
-I need to get some sort of tuner so I can get maximum mpg and i've read about the 5 star tuner?
-What wind deflectors for the windows will work? Just anything for f150? What is the best fitting floormats that will catch everything and keep the carpet underneath perfect? WeatherTech will the regular f150 fit?
What else do I NEED! not looking for off roading or performance parts just yet tho

Thanks guys!

welcome to the site!

1) i tinted mine 5% like i do on all my trucks and i love it.

2)havent used the easy down tailgate mod myself but looks great. be sure to check the threads on here about it. i think i saw some small modifications to be made to make it work better and last longer.

3)i have the 5 star and i am very happy with the tune. dont have alot of miles on mine but it seems to picked me up 1 more mmpg over stock on my performance(beast mode) tune. my MPG tune i only tried for a short while and saw a little mpg gain but really didnt put enough miles in to be a fair judgment. the tune really cleans up the shifts too.

4)cant help u here sorry

G/L with ur Raptor!

This is pretty minor, but I didn't like the over-firmness of the center console cover.
I had mine covered in black leather with a thin foam padding added. $100 for the leather covering and $25 for the custom embroidery.

I think you're on the right track, Filthy. Although I'm not a big fan of the window air deflectors.
Love my Bak Flip F1 for locking stuff up in the bed. I don't know about your driving habits but my Valentine One sure has saved my butt a time or two. And it sounds like you ought to keep it on the stock perch for maximum comfort and driveability over the road.

Have any pics of this?

Because much of the stitching is white, I had to have it placed toward the rear away from my body oils that would darken the white threads.

The blue threads are closer in color to the middle pic. The other two caught the light at an angle that made the blue appear light blue.
