Do you have the newer wire harness with the waterproof controller?

One thing to do if you think your ballast is out, is to verify that you have a good ground on both heads. This is typically the cause.

I'm sure @Raptor Retrofit will be along shortly to help.

Yes, I've done all of the basics. I mean no offense but I've got a BA in EE so this isn't really rocket science to me. I offer that to merely provide some context when I say I've done the basic things like checking grounds, etc. I am not seeing any voltage at the driver's side headlight lead now, so either we've got a harness problem or a control module problem still.

I'm not going to take Dawson's harness or module apart because it's just not my place to do that. I wouldn't want someone else monkeying around in my stuff and doubt he'd appreciate me doing that. Plus I'm sure there are warranty concerns at that point.

No offence taken. I hate wiring and on here there are all sorts of questions. I'm an ME, so electrons are beyond my expertise, but I've done enough wiring on the truck to know that little shit can cause you run around for a while.
