I would like to throw out there though that, this is really prevalent on 2012s and you hardly see this on 10 or 11s. I think it has to do with the torsen front end, perhaps?

Perhaps. Perhaps ford ****** us up on purpose eh!!!
Greg i think the problem is far more than cv boots being ripped. Bigj, myself maybe others had wheel hub problems as well.
Myself not only have i had all those problems but also 2 steering gears... 2!!!
Dunno if i mentioned it to the last guy i explained it to. Oem refurbished cv shafts are the way to go if ford doesnt warranty your problems and or Aftermarket rcv shafts, but thats 2400 bucks. Oem refurbished are 120... Basically you can get like 12 cv shafts for that price (bad at math maybe more) lol!!! Durfffff
Also the rubber stock cv boots are just complete crap. The rcv boots are made not to rip or tear, and if you go hard on your truck/or have the problem all the time its worth it... They are warranted for life.
Someone please get RCV as a vendor on these forums right now. So folks are more aware of them.
