Help with shackles

Icon spring installation instructions say 89.

I contacted ICON about 8 months about this. Their documentation is wrong. You use the stock bolts and nuts, use Ford OEM specs, 136

Their product page still has the PDF with the wrong number then. Awesome that they couldn't be bothered changing their instructions. @Icon_Adrian @Icon_Fred

You can see the second leaf partially wrapping around the eye in this pic. The cross brace is too close to the holes and contacts the part-eye. Apparently these shackles fit Deavers as they don't have this part wrap. They are making me one which will fit. I had to install using stock shackles for now.

So strike 2...

I tried installing the second set of KHC shackles I have been sent which I was specifically told would work with Icons. They bind a piece of paper between the shackles and springs a full 3 inches before full compression of the shock.

Morale of the story... get SDHQ or Camburg shackles and ensure that you speak to the seller to tell them that if they don't fit you will be stopping by.

This is nuts lol. I have my SVC stock length shackles at Powder now but plan on switching to ICON once the Deavers wear out like I’ve seen documented. I have had my Deaver +3s listed for sale for quite a long time with zero inquiries so guess will bolt them up and use them for a year before switching to ICONs. Then that will require finding a stock length shackles to fit them. Surely by then the process will be ironed out.
