[Help] Paddle Shifter Doesn’t Work after replacement

I recently bought a new carbon fiber steering wheel with carbon fiber paddles. The replacement paddles use the existing hardware. After installing the new paddles, the left doesn’t shift or even show it’s working. I’ve taken it apart several times. O cure. The right works fine. Any help is appreciated.
