Holy shit, that's terrible news! Sorry this happened to you, wow. I guess we should all park our raptors until Ford can supply replacement parts! Question I have is: why is Ford out of these parts? Answer: too many ******* shafts have snapped and they aren't warrantying this?? Please.........

Its an outsourced part not made by FoMoCo. Therefore it is considered to be "aftermarket" apparently. So they told me going aftermarket wouldn't affect anything and I'd retain my warranty

Try sending a pm @Crystal the Ford rep here on FRF. You never know when I needed a replacement shock they were on backorder with greater than a month wait. Once she got my info and had a regional customer service rep call me a shock showed up within the same week.

Maybe a local Raptor owner has a truck that he won't need for awhile and could let you borrow his axles? I'd let you use mine if you were in SoCal.

I'm going to order a set of axles to have just in case. Sounds like it would be a good idea.

I know $1600 price difference sounds like a lot but what's it worth to you to have your truck in two weeks as compared to 8-12 weeks?

Yeah, that is true, I definitely don't want to wait that long.

I've had this loaner car since the Monday after raptoberfest. Its nice and all but it smells like damn cigarettes. Its a 2012 fusion. It makes me realize how much I miss the raptor lol.

I guess the $1600 is justifiable. And the chrome moly axle shafts can hold 900hp so I'd never have this problem again. Honestly I wish the transmission would have went instead. I would have my truck back if that was the case since the parts are actually available to rebuild the transmission

Don't ever put up with a rental with cig smell. If its a national chain take it back and they will switch it out.

Hi Raptor Embroidery,

As Labraptor mentioned, it certainly wouldn't hurt to get me involved. Send me a PM with your details and I'll see what I can do. I'll need your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership.

YAY Crystal! :)

Oh no, you don't! The axle is a remove and replace problem - much, much less problematic than a rebuild of a complex electronic/hydraulic/mechanical transmission. My first-hand experience is that no one can rebuild a modern transmission and make it reliable again, and that experience was gained on a Ford product. Count your blessings!

34 spline shafts to 900 hp???

I did a bunch of checking around and couldn't find any axles anywhere at the dealers I have hookups at.

Call Foutz at add too.
