Help me decide on springs

That's what I thought too. Then I was told that basically the stock bumps aren't going to save your frame if you are pushing your truck that hard anyway, and the worst thing that can happen by removing the strike pad is your shock blowing.. which is about $100 deal to have sent in and fixed.


If disagree there.

Your gonna blow a shock and rip a shock mount off.

You want something to stop upward motion before impact, or at a minimum slow it down. That's what the bump does, slow it down.

I would rather not have to worry about it and just get a good bump stop kit. That's what I am going to do when I have time to start going to events and really work my truck.

Well thanks for the input guys, i think i will end up with the deaver +2s here in the next few months. and then probably the svc bumbstop kit sometime next year after the holidays.

Having a debate between Deaver +2 and +3 for my SCAB. I'll be running he Alpha 1 bed rack with at least one tire, a jack, fuel and an 8 gallon tote. Mid perch up front

Is that enough weight to warrant the +3 or should I stick with +2? I'll be running the Alpha 1 bump stops as well
