That rubber roller should be able to be just cut off with a razor blade. If you have to remove the bolt that runs through it, you can likely unthread it from the otherside unless its riveted.
Thanks, Dudebrodude. Unfortunately, the rubber bumper(?) has to come out. It interferes with the two leaf's that are added to the stack. The fastener is a 5mm hex (see pic). I almost stripped the hole with an Allen, so I backed off. I wanted to make sure there wasn't a technique, or magic postion (WD-40).
I remember that allen bolt being insanely tight also, you wont be reusing it so you could always run a sawzall or grinder in there and cut the bolt. Or, take a grinder and cut off both sides just above the rubber sleeve.
