Hello everyone! Bought my UK spec Raptor (2.0ltr Twin Turbo) back in July and I looked this site up because I noticed my rear axle offset 18mm or nearly 3/4 of an inch to you guys!, however it seems a common issue. I measured from the centre of the rear wheel to the centre of the front wheel & both sides are spot on so shouldn't be a problem but I am going to my local dealer tomorrow to register a complaint just in case anything happens long term!
So I went to the Ford dealer and showed the service manager the difference. A you can see the near side (NS) shows a gap of about 15mm but the offside (OS) shows a negative of about 3mm. So overall an off set of 18mm. The service manager was shocked but after several viewings suggested the the bed may be more likely to be offset than the axle, which I have to say I'm inclined to agree with as the chassis are produced on a jig and aligned by laser so the weld points and screw holes are more likey to line up more acurately than the bed screw holes. What do other owners think?
