GEN 2 Headlight Tint Kit?

I ordered some tints for the rears but couldn't find any good reviews for a kit for the headlights.

Anyone know where to get a kit? I don't want to to deal with cutting the vinyl myself.

Also this may sound like a dumb question does this cut down on how bright the headlights are?

No idea why anyone would want to tint the headlights. And yea. Putting anything on the headlights will diminish light output.

The headlights are in a black housing as opposed to the typical silver/reflector housing for other F150s., so you could argue they are blacked out already.

i had that phase in highschool, was terrible. At first it looked cool, but then you realize its kinda silly hurting light output.
Lucky with HID/LED stuff you can make the backside black and keep the front clear so you kinda get best of both, and raptor comes with it off the bat.

Generally, I don't think there's much of an issue with tinting lights that are there to make you visible to others rather for you to see around you. Marker lights, brake lights, tail lights. Although you obviously don't want to get carried away, and getting replacement lights that have increased light output to compensate for the tint, is a better option.

Generally, I don't think there's much of an issue with tinting lights that are there to make you visible to others rather for you to see around you. Marker lights, brake lights, tail lights. Although you obviously don't want to get carried away, and getting replacement lights that have increased light output to compensate for the tint, is a better option.

I disagree. Headlights serve 2 purposes, to see and be seen, where brake lights are to be seen. The problem with tinting either headlights or tail lights is that you reduce the vehicle’s visibility overall and more so in inclement weather.

It’s probably illegal and it’s unwise. I had a friend in VA who was in a collision with another vehicle, which they rear ended. It was a tarted up, coffee can exhaust, lowered to extreme, beater Honda with - you guessed it, tint covered brake lights. The other driver was not only cited for the equipment charge, but also charged / at fault for the collision. I saw pics, it was super dark tint and apparently the cop couldn’t even make out the brake lights when the other driver applied the brake on the scene.

YMMV and all, but do you really want other people around you to notice your brake lights less? Or your headlights? No need to answer, I’m just musing with my out loud keystrokes.

Like I said, don't get carried away. I would not tint headlights, but I would, and have tinted tailights (spray). Nothing ridiculously dark. Part of the motivation was to see how it would turn out and hide a crack, maybe some boredom. I eventually replaced the lights. Replaced the marker lights too, as one of them went out, with a tint. I don't think I've reduced the brightness at all.

Again, not headlights.

good vid on the subject, if you like tint or not.

Should have clarified that I was looking at some very light tint, blacking out my headlights or having them be dim was not a goal. Towards the end of the vid the guy actually compares tint to no tint and it's hard to see a difference.
