I could have about 1-200 miles of trecherous rocky mountain snow to deal with in my new truck next week getting it back to CA (Im actually stoked about the snow packed roads minus at night since crappy headlights from what I hear!) so I'd like to know any feedback you have after testing your new 2012 in the snow.

really why is this?

Same reason as running in fog with low beams, to reduced the reflected light coming back at you and washing out the road ahead of you.
