I have a 2020 801A without the B&O system. I decided I would just add a little more bass by adding a Kicker 10" hideaway. Nothing crazy, simple to install... Well Here I am 3 days later waiting for the Kicker plus a Kenwood 4 channel amp, Polk Audio 6x9 for the front doors, Polk Audio 6.5 for the back door, Dual amp wiring kit, PAC LPA-2.4 Active LOC, and the PAC LPHFD21 T Harness adapter along with a crap ton of miscellaneous other items to complete the install. I guess you can say I got a little carried away. Not wanting anything super loud and boomy, just good clean sound with clear highs and mids and a good low end. I am sure that there are better brands out there, but I went with brands that I am familiar with and at a decent price, I think it was around $850 for all of the equipment, wiring and accessories. I did up a schematic for the install to get it all straight in my head as well as a design for an amp rack behind the rear seat to keep it all clean and neat. Been a long time since I installed a system so I hope I have not bitten off more than I can chew.

Recommend sound deadening of the doors while you're in there.
What I did...
80% coverage in strips on the inside of the door.(opposite of paint)
SoundSkinz Ford F150 precut
SoundsGoodStereo block-off plates

Yeah, I may do that, but probably will have to go back and do it later. Wife is still wondering how I went from $350 to $850 for the upgrade already. Best I don't push my luck anymore :)

850 is great, normally folks are quoting 3500 and up. Send pics as you complete

Just tell her some of your friends on FRF are around 10k and you won't allow them to influence you into that kinda nonsense. ;)

Yeah, but again it is pretty modest and this is just the hardware since I am installing myself. Had a local shop quote me $900 for just the hideaway and install. Hell even Best Buy wanted $575 just to install the kicker and 4 door speakers and that did not include the hardware.

Which Polk audios are you going with ? I had Polk in my f150 and I have them in my tundra, the raptor has kickers all the way around for the doors this time. I also went with focal tweets on the f150..the raptor is still stock on tweets.

I went with the DB692 for the front doors and DB652 for the back. I had the 652 in my last truck along with an 8” Kicker hideaway. It sounded really good, but I didn’t have an amp so they really needed more power.
