Have I really spent over $500 in fuel in one month?

I go 4-6 weeks on a fill and the raptor is my only vehicle. If I had to drive daily, I'd definitely look for a more economical solution.

Last month my total fuel bill was $2600


Nashville to Terlingua to Hallett to Nashville. $300.00 per fill up. I tow a lot. 4000+ miles last month. My shop is an hour drive each way. That is a couple times a week plus all the kids activities.

How do you spend $300 per fill up - do you have an auxiliary tank? Because 36 gallons at $4.00 per gallon only comes to $144...

my Raptor saw 13-15 (16 was the most ever on the highway)... my F250 diesel tank avg is 16 - highway is 18+ avg.

You must have a leak. lol

$2600 at avg of $3.50/gal (diesel, unleaded, super unleaded) is consuming 743 gallons. If you're avg mpg is 4, you're right on target

If you were at 10mpg avg, you could travel 7430 miles on that same $2600, .... or... (in my Mike Myers voice)... at 14 mpg avg, you did about 10,402 miles that month.

Yeah, I was being generous trying to figure out how a fill up could possibly cost $300. Some Raptor owners run 93 octane, which I presume can cost as much as $4 per gallon in some places. That guy must have an auxiliary tank. Or else he buys a ton of junk food inside the gas station, lol...

09 F350 with a Titan 67 gallon fuel tank. Towing I get 5-6mpg which is pretty much all that truck does. Nov will be another lovely month with 2+ trips. Nashville to Houston to Austin back to Nashville, then Nashville to PA and back to Nashville. Add in the fact that I am moving my shop, 60 minutes all highway for each trip. Doesn't help that I set cruise control at 5mph over the speed limit.

Ya, its retarded since diesel is a lot cheaper to manufacture. Its basically gas that they just stopped refining half way through.
