This may be better asked on a different forum but here goes. I eventually want to haul my Gen-2 Raptor behind a Motor home (that I have not yet purchased). My question is what do you do with the trailer once you get to a camp ground. Will they let you put the trailer where the tow vehicle would normally go and then let you park the Raptor on the trailer when not out and about?

Thanks

Question? Why aren't you considering just towing the Raptor without a trailer? It can be programmed easily within the factory settings.

Simply to reduce wear and tear on the Raptor. I understand flat towing is possible. It may be what I have to do depending on the answer to my question.

why would you park the raptor back on the trailer, unless you were loading it up to leave again?

I've never been to a campground with a parking shortage.

If you need to reposition the trailer once the raptor is off of it, just use the raptor to move it.

It is a great question. The RV parks are getting so busy now that parking can be an issue. Pull through sites only afford so much room. If you have a 40' coach and trailer you will generally take up the entire pull through. Henceforth when you unload the Raptor you won't have any parking left for it. Some parks will have overflow parking for the trailer so you can store it there and then pull the Raptor behind the coach. Definitely have to check with the parks.

I'm just starting out in this direction but I have been to plenty of campgrounds with my parents where you were only allotted space for your RV and one vehicle. That was always a 5th wheel env though. I have also been to campgrounds to visit my brother in his Motorhome (class a) and it was tough to find a place for the Raptor anywhere near his MH. I will admit all those did have a large parking area where one could easily stow a trailer. And even a vehicle.

I was just wondering if I were in a place that had no space, would they let me just drive it up on the trailer.

I guess you are right. I would probably need to check before hand. Plan Plan ahead is the answer.

Thanks

That situation is exactly what I was wondering. A pull through with no space left. Might they just let me park on/off the trailer. Not even disconnect it???

A couple of other reasons to use a trailer is that it already has breaks/lights and you don't have to remove/replace the tow hooks for flat towing.
