I love the sound that they produce, has anybody tried a cooling/turbo tip like these? There are from a 2013 F250 Diesel.
I wanted to know if anybody has tried any type intercooling tips and did it get rid of the drone?

Where did you come up with the idea to do that? I'm just guessing here, but if you want to get rid of the drone, put the exhaust out the back beneath the bumper.

"That sound you love" is most likely the turbo you are hearing. I know what you're talking about, kind of a woosh noise from the pipes. That a result of the excess exhaust presure, something you will not be able to produce. Those tips are designed to cool the exhaust gasses before they leave the tail pipes. If you look further upstream you will see more inlets. Its to draw fresh cool air into the mix. Without this deisel exhaust can actually get so hot it can start fires....

I don't think that exhaust tips are responsible for sound unless they're so ruined (flattened, bent, etc.) that they restrict gas flow. You might just get a whooshing sound if you flattened your factory tips in a vice or with a hammer.

Thanks for your comments guys. LOL

I know why and what they do and with the Whipple got the pressure as well.

If you haven't had a chance to listen to how they sound it's hard to explain, it's more "jet enginey thrust" sound, for lack of a better discription.

That jet engine sound is from the diesel, well mostly the turbo(s) on the diesel, not the exhaust pipes. I had a 6.4 chipped stroker and it sounded like a jet taking off of a flight deck when you got in to it no matter what exhaust was on it. It was kind of cool, I suppose. After 2000 RPM it was all pissed off.... the jet noise went away and it sounded like an angry gorilla. Those tips are the fugliest thing ever and I wouldn't put them on a rig if you paid me. I still have the stock exhaust from my 6.4 if anyone wants it.
