My time has been elsewhere, and that post from our newbie was better suited for a Hummer forum...

From the technical side -
We can re-wire and therefore retain the factory heating for the remaining leather, when we just remove the upper section. That includes leather, rubber & resistance wires that provide the heat. We can re-wire the remaining wires so that the heat is comparable to the original wheel.
The problem develops when you remove the bottom portion of the leather etc. That section includes the heating sensor along with the connections to the wires coming up from the column.
With that being said, I'll think about it.
