please do continue to post - hey, this is in the gen1 forum so It’s kind of fun watching everyone get their knickers in a twist over here.
Who's really got their "knickers in a twist" in this thread, though?

8 pages later, gen2 trucks still shift like ass, and sound like ass.
Hmmm...lets see...
I don't think I need to read 8 pages of b1tching and whining to know that.
- A 6.2L NA "big block" V8 has more low-end grunt than a twin turbo 6cyl
- A 10 speed automatic shifts more often than a 6 speed does
- Some people like the V8
- Some people like the V6
- Some people like them both
- Some people have thin skin
Personally I was a solid "gimme a V8 or ****" kind of guy my whole life until I used a 335i as my DD for a few years. While I am a solid fan of turbo sixes now, I could not feel whole without a V8 in my garage somewhere. That's what the classic Mustang is for (for me, just my life and opinion) the low-end (as in off-idle) torque plus the sound of a engine sucking instead of blowing...mmmmm yeah.
Edit to add: I think my biggest disappointment in the raptor as my off-road ride will be the seriously long 133 inch wheelbase.
Low-end means low RPM, grunt refers to torque. You are thinking peak output and yeah that is a wash between the two. But at 1,250 RPM is it not.except it doesn't have more low end grunt
just because it is a v8 doesn't automatically mean this
read a book

I'll let the insult go, for me, life's too short to wanna spend it in the gutter.
Oh and to assert dominanceI only make threads like this to trigger gen 2 owners
