I just spoke to Connor at Outlaw Off Road, and he did confirm that this is the standard operating procedure for the all of the fiberglass fenders on the market. He said that the technique I described is exactly what they do on all of their installs.

Looks good. Looks like a little tweaking for door gap and is i sitting a tad high by the windshield?
