Hi, guys & gals. Terry in Wichita, here. My friends call me "BammBamm" or just plain ol' "Bamm".


I just wanna make one statement, straight outta the gate: The Ford F-150 Raptor kicks ass.

I refuse to bore y'all to tears with the sordid details, so here goes: I was born, a poor Caucasian.

Sometime thereafter (1982), I took Drivers Ed in high school & earned my license. It was at that point where Dad handed me the keys to his slightly-rough 1965 Mustang, the $600 he'd borrowed a few years earlier from GramMa & GranDad. I cut my teeth on that 289 3-speed, and I ain't never looked back since. There was more mischief and mayhem created with that bad lad than you can shake a stick at, I tell-ya watt…


Basic'ly, I'm just a country boy, at heart; kinda like Ricky Skaggs, except devoid of any of his pesky talent or vast wealth.


ANYways… Fast-forward to July 18, 2011: There's a truck out there with my name on it. My gut tells me the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is the one the own…

…don't EVEN try to talk me OUT of it. It ain't gonna work, so don't even try.

Randy, thanks, too, for the welcome. So… lemme get this straight: You’re a dealer, and you’ve just heard how excited I am to buy a vehicle. It don’t hardly take no rocket surgeon to figger out that, as a result, I ain’t exactly dealin’ from a position of strength, here.



Then again, I’ve never spec’ed-out/ordered a new vehicle in my life, but I’m pretty sure you guys are sittin’ in the catbird seat when some highly-motivated buyer sits down to place an order (like me). At any rate, I appreciate the welcome, and look forward to learning more about the ordering process.

Hey Bamm...

Welcome to the show!!! Prep yourself for a lot of time on the site, esp after getting your ride.

The absolute best chance of getting the raptor you want or one period is Randy. Absolutely no ********, period... You'll end up wasting a ton of time foolin around with dealers to find one, especially this late in the 11' model year.

I'd run the line with Randy on a '12...

Gentlemen: Thank you for the warm welcome… I mean that.

I plan to spend most of my free time in the next thirty days learning as much about the Raptor as is humanly possible. And Randy certainly seems legit. Like I've said, I know **** about ordering new vehicles, so it looks like I might wanna post questions in one of the other subforums here.
