Greetings from St. Louis,

I'm about 30 days into my new 2018 Shadow Black Raptor and love it! Best vehicle I've ever owned. I'll likely never use it to its full potential - this is my daily driver - but it sure is a heck of a lot of fun!

2018 Ford Raptor
- Shadow black
- 802A package
- Twin moonroof
- Tech package
- 2nd row heated
- Spray liner
- Step

My mods so far:

1) Full front clear bra (10 year Llumar film)
2) 9H Pro clear coating (4 layers of Pro; 1 of Light; includes wheels and calipers)
3) Retrax MX Pro tonneau cover
3) Fog light bezel & mounting kit (2 KC HiLites Flex LEDs; 4 Rigid LED Radiance (amber backlights)
4) 21 inch mast antenna with noise cancellation wire (OEM was hitting my garage door)
5) Auto start/stop eliminator (this is just plain awesome!!!)
6) Uplifter switch tailgate release
7) Bedrug bed mat
8) Ford bed divider
9) NuShield nav screen Triple A protector

Just ordered the Ford Performance cat-back touring exhaust with black tips. Looking forward to that next week! CJ Off Road has a nice video on the install with great sound clips. Not a V8 but it sure does sound better, without being over the top, which I don't want with a daily driver / family hauler.

I'm also going to pull the trigger on an MPT tune (I did purchase the pedal commander but am disappointed with it. It does do a nice job increasing the throttle response, but did not reduce the lag as advertised. My thoughts are that those who do say it does reduce lag are just impressed with the sport plus mode, which does throw your head back when you hit it)

On a side note, as I know there are threads on this topic - I did notice a performance boost switching from 87 to 93 octane. I ran through 3 tanks of 87 octane (not quite sure why I felt I needed to go with cheap gas on a $70k truck) before switching to 93. With the 87 octane, I felt like I wasn't getting the power that I should. I haven't been on the 93 octane long enough to notice the MPG difference yet. I imagine it will be slightly better.

Cheers!

Love the license plate. I've been trying to come up with something, but dang - everything is already taken. Live in Union - work in Earth City. Don't mind the commute now in my new toy :)
