Global warming? last year we had the worst snow storm here in the midwest in 100 years. And it just dumped a shit ton on the east coast.

Your right!
Its not getting hotter, its getting hotter and colder. Hence the change in the name. All the seasons are getting more extreme. Growing up in Asheville NC, 93 degree days in the summer were "record breakers", now they are not uncommon. We also would hardly get any snow. Occasional big dump every 10-15 years but usually stuff you guys would consider a flurry that would melt the next day. Last christmas I was snowed in for almost a week! And that wasn't even the biggest snowstorm they got last year.

The news media did a wonderful job covering "climategate" but failed to mention back in October that a study (funded by the Koch family no less) actually found that climate change is indeed real. To be fair, they have yet to take it further to prove what percentage of that is due to human involvement.

The real question is what can you as a consumer possibly gain by not forcing companies to make their products better? Because its "awesome" to be waste and pollute more? C'mon... If anything this article proves how awesome Ford is. Thats pretty cool considering the 6.2L is a 2v head with out Direct injection etc etc...

Great points, Austin. We should all be in favor of always striving to make our environment cleaner. The problems arise because of knee-jerk legislation based on bad science and powerful lobbying groups that result in expensive lessons such as ethanol, etc in order to lessen our dependence on fossil fuels.
