Glad you're so positive about it.

I've used the hooks below in the link. Mount them upside down on the plate, and then stick them in your holes when on public property or where you could be scrutinized. No, this doesn't work if you're pulled over, but if you park on public streets, or are getting inspected, it might work. The plate moves of course, but hopefully no one gives it a second look. I've also driven off with mine on the front and it stuck around long enough for me to realize it and take it off.

Well, tint is gone. Went to Target and bought a $29 fabric steamer. Film came off clean in about 5 minutes per window with no adhesive residue. Went to DMV (with my newly "attached" front license plate) and it was painless. Second in line, lady came out, stamped and signed my warning and I dropped it in the drop box to be processed. In and out in 10 minutes.

Blondie, wouldn't worry about it too much. Had it on previous vehicles for years and had it a year on the Raptor without ever being questioned. I just got the wrong cop on the wrong day. I'll go "bare" for a while but I might go back to the tint...hell, I already have the steamer if I get caught again and it's only $60 to have it re-done. Livin' on the edge!!:peace:

Thanks guys. Thankfully it was just a $60 mod that was purely asthetic. I love the blacked out look from the outside, but it's an absolute bitch to see at night...especially backing up. Thank god for the rear camera. Purchased my $25 fabric steamer and the tint comes off tonight.

The officer was very pleasant. Like I said earlier, he could have given me a fine but just gave me a written warning. I just felt he went above and beyond what was necessary that morning...especially considering he identified the "mission" as a seat-belt-check.

I just realized that maybe I am a "criminal"...CT is a 2 plate state and I don't run a front plate on my truck. Barney totally missed that one. :flipthebird: I'm guessing the ******** at DMV will get me though. Gonna put my extra plate on my dashboard for the inspection. My truck doesn't have the plate bracket on the bumper so I will just use the "the holes in the bumper don't line up with the plate" defense.

Well saved you a trip to the pen if you would have backed over some kid and this came out during the trial. Sorry I love running open headers but the State says Nae Nae.

I guess anything is possible, but I would argue it makes you more cautious when backing up. I was VERY attached to my reverse camera.
