2010 currently on E rated KO2’s that ride like garbage, and won’t roadforce under 160 so I’m in need of new rubber.

I’ve had 4 sets of KO2’s on other trucks and never had a problem but it’s got me kinda scared of BFG’s. Especially since I’ve heard a lot of similar stories.

the ATX’s look very similar, but only being available in e range is kind of a put off for me as I’d like to get the ride of a c range back

so there it is. Should I get a set of C range KO2’s or go ATX e range. What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Go with the KO2 if you use your truck off road. The KO2 are a C range, rated for higher speed, are winter rated, and are going to ride better.

I love the grabbers for a standard f150, especially if towing regularly or hauling stuff around a lot... but the stock size KO2 are literally made for these trucks.

Neither of them balance well. The ATX has harder rubber so traction is a little worse but they wear better.

If ply rating is more of an issue Toyo is currently making the MT in a 6 ply (rated) and just announced the RT will soon be available 6 ply (rated). The MT's are more than I'd ever need but I've had the RT's and I really liked them. And they're said to weigh 66lbs

Went with ATX in the end. Tried a set of KO2’s and just like the last ones, after a week they couldn’t get them balanced. Refunded and switched to ATX’s, and my buttery smooth ride is back.

so far I like the grabbers with the exception of how they seem to hang onto gravel a little longer than the KO2’s did. No problems with traction in snow/ice/rain so far.

ko2’s are made for the gen 2’s in C range, not the gen 1’s. Seems like for whatever reason /my/ gen 1 hates the KO2’s. Had them on my last FX4, and my current one without issue, just the raptor doesn’t like them. Maybe I just have bad luck with BFG

checking back in on this. after 3 months, and almost 10k miles, the ATX's are getting louder, but nothing too crazy. Probably akin to a Ridge Grappler noise wise, louder than the Ko2's but quieter than a MT. The FX4 is due up for tires soon, so i will probably put the generals on the FX4, and put some Ko2's back on the raptor, but not for the reason you think.

These ATX's throw rocks worse than anything i've ever seen/heard. They're putting new paint chips on the doors almost weekly, and it's painful to hear the gravel bouncing off the doors all the time. So unless you're one to run big mud flaps, don't go with the ATX.
