Ill be sure to report back with anything new. Biggest decision now is whether I want a S-cab or S-crew...decisions.

Make sure you have a VOC listing all options and it's a signed by you and the GM of the dealership and then leave your deposit. My deposit was $500.

My original deal was $500 over invoice. Invoice went up on the truck and they honored the original price so I was at invoice. And then I got a $500 rebate, so in reality I paid $500 under invoice.

Im thinking I might be able to get a cheaper deposit as well. Everything is negotiable. Just to to clarify, any deposit made will go towards the overall cost of the truck correct? That pretty much standard?

$500 over invoice is what a lot of people (including myself) are getting, so no it's not too good to be true. It's easy money for the dealer since it won't be sitting on the lot etc. Also there is the dealer holdback which is another few grand of profit for the dealer, and more if they sell you the warranty or service plan. I can't remember what I paid in deposit, I think it was $1-2k, but it is totally refundable. Heck the dealer would probably LOVE it if you backed out at the last minute, because then they have a raptor on their lot that brings in gawkers who will leave with an ecoboost, and they get to sell the Raptor at MSRP to some sucker who wants it NOW (in a few months).

So I went to my local Ford dealer this past weekend and told them I was interested in possibly ordering a Raptor. He wasn't very familiar with Raptors, I could tell, and I told him what I was wanting for a Raptor. 801A package, S-Cab. I told him that the invoice was $46,000 and I understand you guys have to turn a profit. I asked what are you guys expecting as far as price. He goes and talks to his "manager" for about 15-20 minutes and comes back with $46,500 written down and beside it says Raptor with luxury package, Nav, heated seats, Hid's. I asked him, "This is a guarantee, if I want to order right now this is the price I will get?" He said production doesn't start until October but yes they would do 46,500 + TTT on a new order 801A package S-Cab. This sound a little too good to be true to you guys?

Thats the same price Im getting for the same exact truck. Good deal!

$500 over invoice is a very good deal but not too good to be true. I'm about to order on at $50 over invoice but dealer is ~1000 miles away.

Are you going the ~1000 miles to pick it up or are they delivering it to a dealer near you? If they are sending to a dealer near you, what was the cost? Thanks.

FWIW, when I ordered mine they didn't require a deposit.
