Same here. Most of my vehicles have always been black...it's my favorite color. And so I intended to dealer order a black Raptor. But one weekend, I was out window shopping at dealerships and I saw this white one. The salesman comes up to me, and I told him I wasn't interested in white... but after I left, for the next day or 2, I just kept thinking about this white one. I went back to the dealer and bought it.
A few things I like about a white Raptor over a black one... the dark/black Raptor accents really contrast perfectly with white. The black Raptors just don't catch your eye as much. Even now, I'll nearly pass by a black one before I realize it's a Raptor...whereas white will catch my attention a mile away - especially with graphics. Plus any scratches or off road pin striping are less noticeable on white. But the MOST IMPORTANT reason, white looks relatively clean even when it's a little dirty. Maintaining a large black vehicle, is like having a 2nd job...although beautiful when clean, I just don't have the time to satisfy my OCD to keep black looking perfect
Thanks
I just sprayed the mirrors with plasti dip.
Exactly why I ordered White instead of Tuxedo. Don't get me wrong, Tuxedo Black is probably one of the sexiest colors I've ever seen in my life, but I just can't imagine having to keep that clean all the time since my Raptor will be my daily driver. I'm building a new house this spring ( whenever spring finally gets here) and my property is on a dirt road. I'm only roughly 3/10 of a mile off the main road which is paved, but still that 3/10 would be enough to make that black look dirty all the time. I have a black Mustang that will only be driven on sunny days, and when the road leading out of my property is dry. But that still will be a PITA to keep it clean. At least with white, I'll be able to take it to the .25 car wash and give it a quick rinse and it will freshen it up between detailed washes.
I like how the black mirrors look. I can see me taking those to my buddy to have him spray them gloss black or satin black. The stripes look good.
What % tint is that? Is that 5% all the way around? I was gonna do the driver and passenger windows to match the factory tint, but yours looks really good.
Do you have a pic of your truck with the windows tinted WITHOUT the decals added to it? I ordered a '14 White SCrew with the same wheels and no decals. I wanna see what that looks like (without the bike in the picture) . And if possible, do you have one with the mirrors done and without the decals too? I'd like to see that
What all options does your truck have?
