After sitting on the lot at the carriers location for 31 days I got the call today my truck had finally made it to the dealer 18 miles away. Gosh................it just seems like yesterday that I ordered it!!!!
Congrats on it finally getting there. I hope they get an accepted order fast on mine or I may end up going another direction.
Patience I do not have when the story changes week to week from these guys for me.
Well let's talk about the union carrier. Saw the truck today. I am lucky I guess. You should have seen some of the other cars this carrier has delivered. Two broken windshields two driven into the carrier off the track and into the inside of the carrier causing multiple fender damage. My truck just had some scratches and a dent or two but must now go to bodyshop for repair. GM was most apologetic about the situation. Told me he called the owner of the company that has over 60 Ford stores who in turn called a VP at Ford. The VP told him they have already cancelled the contract with the union carrier and gone back to the non union carrier they used to use. He said they found over 350 vehicles that were over 45 days late for delivery. There have been over 60 vehicles that have been refused by the dealers due to multiple damage due to the carriers. I don't want this to get into another pro/con union discussion but I can tell the folks waiting eastern Alabama, northern Florida, South Carolina and Georgia...... You may get your vehicle much sooner now.Nice...did you tip the carrier?
