Is all of what Cobb is posting here available with the goose tune? Transmission shifting adjustment, pedal sensitivity, etc?

Yep, it’s all there. I just add my custom tuning session to it.

@GooseTuned i asked on Facebook, but figured I’d ask here as well. Is it true you have to have a FMIC to run a stage 2 tune? I have a CV Fab Titan 2 IC…I would have gone a different route had I known

@GooseTuned - a few questions regarding the tunes:

  1. I’m familiar with ECU tuning (tuned several of my own cars before) and am unsure if the Raptor’s ECU is similar to ones I’ve worked with in the past. When vehicles can run regular fuel and premium like our gen 3’s can I typically find a high and low octane VE fueling map where the car uses knock sensors to determine how to blend the two table’s values together. Are our truck’s similar in nature? Reason for asking is I’m curious if I am on a trip and have a 93 octane tune on the truck but can only find 87 if it will cause issues (or require me to re-flash the truck at the gas station and keep the access port in the glove box at the ready).
  2. Do we have verification from Cobb that the unlock will not cause any issues with OTA updates Ford pushes to our trucks? I’m still waiting for full screen CarPlay and would hate to lose the OTA update functionality for something like this.
  3. Considering you‘re referencing the tuned numbers will mirror the gen 2’s tunes results, I’d imagine we should expect the same numbers and mods for full E85 tunes? Are the upgraded HPFPs and LPFP voltage increase modifications I see listed on your FAQ what we need to run E85 (aside from a tune)? Any rough numbers or gen 2 graphs you can share on E85? If the HPFP and LPFP are modified to run E85 is it still possible to run 87 and 93?

That’s how it was for the Gen 2, so I would assume yes. I am curious if the Wagner IC would have enough cooling surface area for stage 2? @GooseTuned

Yes, that's true. That intercooler would work

1. There is a much more advance knock strategy when it comes to octanes. Stock is best if you want to run multiple octanes on 1 fuel.
2. I haven't had any issues with my truck and I've been testing for a while. There is an OTA update out now, you can select to update or not.
3. Yep, should be very very similar. That's what I'm seeing now in my own testing. No upgraded HPFP just yet. I need to pull injectors to see if they will fit from Gen 2 style. Port Injectors are the only things you need to run full ethanol. And if you do that you can still run 87/93 with tunes for each octane

So it sounds like when you tune for 93 it overrides the trucks ability to run on 87 or 91/93 on the fly like it can currently?

If I were to upgrade port injectors for full E85 would it require a custom tune to handle 87/93 tunes or can the stock tune run with aftermarket port injectors? (I’m guessing the answer here is no. If so, then I guess dealer work and “flashing to stock” goes out the window to some degree - which I guess makes sense if you’re going that far down the mod rabbit hole.)
