I’ll post about it in detail as soon as I get the truck back lol. It’s been at Ford since 9/26. There have been a few instances of bearings not being seated properly in the front axle housing. My truck is one of them. The Ford Techs and Engineers dove in deep to figure it out. They said it was common in 2015-2016 models. It took a long time for the parts to wear out the way they did, but I’m very glad I took it in before it hit 36,000 miles. Some parts are in, but the complete front axle has not come in yet.

It’s wild, but there were almost no symptoms that would indicate such a huge problem in the front end. About 10,000 ish miles ago I had a single pop while shifting out of 4H-2. It wasn’t violent at all, but I did notice it. I thought the hub had bound up, so I backed up while turning the steering wheel left and right. Problem solved. About 6-7k miles later the truck started to make a popping noise with a minimal popping feeling in the steering wheel while turning at max range during off-roading with extreme suspension articulation. No symptoms during normal daily driving.
