im stuck on the mtr/k's as well - getting new wheels with a +18 offset, and i daily drive my truck. not a ton of mud here in southern az, and i'll need a tire with a good sidewall for when i do wheel the raptor. i have 37" nitto trail grapplers on my jeep and they have been bulletproof, but they are freaking heavy. im at 130 lbs a corner with those on 17" atx slab beadlocks.
im also considering the newer toyo open country at 2. because of the fact that i daily drive my truck an all terrain tire makes more sense, but it doesnt look the part. plus, i dont know how well those will hold up to the desert terrain.
and the open country m/t's are out - ive had them before and wasnt impressed. sucked in snow, and once they wore a little bit they got loud and harder to keep balanced. plus, they are a lot heavier than i want to do right now.
got my buddy to send me pics of the tires - toyo at ii versus goodyear mtr/k. toyo is a 35/12.50r17 goodyear 315/70r17. unmounted the goodyear is bigger.
