Hi All,

Been following the forum for some time and have the option to trade in my Jeep SRT8. I found this 2012 Blue Screw down the road from me for $49k. Has 34k miles which was more then I wanted but seemed to be extremely clean. Being a Jeep Dealer I think I could get a good trade in. What are your thoughts on this deal?

Its supply and demand very shortly Raptors will be an endangered species. Finding any will be tough and along with that goes pricey.. Expect used prices to jump in to the 50's towards the end of summer and more in the fall...

Looks like a very clean, well taken care of truck. I see several good mods on this truck too. I would offer $42k and maybe try to pull them down to at least $45k. Like Cobra said, the supply is drying up and demand is still high so you might have to pay a little extra to get a good truck at this point. I've seen several heavily used Raptors (2010 & 2011 models) with more mileage than this sell in my area for around $47k. But then again the dealerships are doing their best to **** people now.

Seems a little high for a '12 with 34K+ on it IMO

I'm getting a '14 for only $3,600 more

Ditto. Have you visited edmunds, truecar, consumerreports or any other websites to see what the going rate for a similar truck in your area is selling for? Try carmax national search on Raptors and see how many 2013's come up with comparable prices. Good Luck!

Supply and demand. You are going to see the prices increase with the lack of production. I would offer $45,000.00 and see what happens. My guess is he's not going to budge much. If you're financing the balance what is a few thousand over the long term. If you want it bad enough it is worth it. Everyone is always talking about the "good deal" they got on theirs. Go with your gut!

If it was offroaded hard different story IMO. I don't think I would buy it or offer less. Crawl underneath for sure.
