Glove box opening

I just changed the cabin air filter in my 2019 and after putting everything back together my glove box door opens a little too easily now, they are made to have a soft opening right? i could swear it was before I did this. I didn't unhook anything just the 2 bumper stops on each end to get easier access.

Update.. the little plastic gear inside the housing of the arm came out and took a straight dive downward behind the fuse area and floor molding. After pricing a new soft opening arm, I'm glad I found it.

I had the same thing happen with mine...the outer casing snapped off. I tried to glue it, but did not hold. I used my plastic welder and gently welded it back together (just using the gun and not adding materials, ensuring it was smoot) - works perfectly and strong.
