Greetings everyone. After researching anything I could get my hands on for nearly a year, I decided to make a big switch and traded in my Porsche Cayman for a brand new 2014 Raptor. Amazing so far! Haven't been able to take it off road yet, but took it on a big road trip from Memphis to the NC Outer Banks a few weeks ago. Left for NC with 300 miles on the odo (changed the oil before we left to Mobil 1) and proceeded to put 2,500 miles on the Raptor in a week. Lots of rain on the trip and the truck was perfect. 13.8 mpg. Ouch, but I knew what I was getting into. Thanks to everyone on FRF for all of the info here.

Noticed you put in mobile 1 oil. Its decent oil. Just be listening for those cold start ticks.

I know that you put Mobil1 in, have you thought about changing it early to get rid of the break-in oil? That's what I did with my truck.

I changed my oil at 1000 miles to mobile 1, and then at 5000 to AMSOIL signiture series. Big difference. Every start up (cold and hot) with mobile 1 would chatter and tick for a few seconds, with the amsoil, it completely disappeared.

I did the same. 1000 miles to mobile 1 and then at 5,000 miles did Amsoil Sig series. Been using the amsoil ever since
