I'd give up. Wait for them to hit the lots and save THOUSANDS!!!!

That is an option. Realistically dealers will start taking receipt of Raptors in November, though in reality most Raptors produced in the first few months are likely to be customer pre-orders or dealer units designated for $10k-$15k Market Adjustments, as they'll be very limited supply. It's not unreasonable to assume that it will be next May or June before any real number of Raptors are sitting on dealer lots, at which point they'll start removing MAs and perhaps by this time next year they'll be willing to haggle a little bit.

It really comes down to how badly you want/need the truck now or if you can wait 9-12 months for a better deal.

It's a personal choice that we all have to make.

Respectfully

I've tried about 10 dealers in Kentucky and the cheapest quote I received was MSRP + $5k. I refuse to pay over sticker price. I had one dealer tell me they weren't going to make money on the truck at MSRP. Thinking about giving up on the Raptor and pulling the trigger on a Toyota Tundra TRD PRO instead and saving at least $10k.

I'm in the same boat you are; need a truck soon and have been really disappointed in how this process etc works. Angry at both the dealerships and actually Ford also! They are not a little company making a few number of vehicles; yes the Raptor is a special production model but going thru this type of "shady dealers, allocation lies, and no information on dates of production etc is not good business practice. It maybe good for "hype" but I feel if you make a good product it will sell itself. The only advice I can give you is wait a little bit to see the truck actually get here and then see how things go from there. You can take a short plane ride to buy a vehicle out of your area and save money but also the 2017 super duty has been getting some interest from me also. The tundra is a great truck but some of the technology is old

Just wait a few more months/beginning of 17.

Not like you're getting the truck the same day if you order now. Hold off and wait till they are sitting on lots.

Reality check. You are upset that you can't easily buy a truck- that does not exist yet, for the price you want. Do you really need it now? Your other truck burn to the ground? Engine blow up?

Go ahead and buy the ****. Ford will sell every Raptor they make either way.

Message me. I'm in Huntsville AL and can point you to the salesman at the local dealer who has assured me of MSRP orders for serious buyers. No wholesalers and no wafflers, as it's not worth their time, but if you're serious, I can get you MSRP.

PM sent.

I just sent them a message!

Sounds good. They require a $1,000 deposit. Jerry the salesmen is a good old country dude. I ordered a Avalanche grey supercab with only a few options (bed step, remote start, and protrailer backup assist) on an 800a base platform. I have a 2010 tuxedo black raptor 5.4 supercab with the luxury package loaded up with navi, sunroof, leather, etc. I noticed that I use my iphone for navigation almost all the time so the tech features really weren't a big draw to me to spend the extra cash. I also like the base cast silver finish more than the bead lock black design. The three options I kinda wanted were the lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front torsen diff but I decided to save the money. Invoice of a completely bone stock supercab is right at 46k (not including tax, etc), the three options I ordered cost me an additional 1k like 47,0XX plus tax. The dealer also said that they would apply any incentives at the same of arrival for me as well because I was inquiring about military cash back offers since I'm active duty. Hope that helps.
