Maybe I'm in the minority here but no way in hell I'd give up my 2014 GT500 for a Raptor. It's almost unreal that I can sit behind the wheel of a 660+ hp, 200mph capable machine off the showroom, even more mind blowing that it even has a factory warranty. It's a straight axe murderer that is just stretching it's legs at 145+ mph and can reach homicidal speeds in mere seconds. It's absolutely effortless to hit triple digits before the end of the on ramp to the interstate under average pedal effort. That kind of excitement, pleasure and adrenaline rush creates a void that will never be filled by something other than another performance car (or bike).

Maybe I've become jaded after spending my entire life driving modified pick up trucks but the sheer fun factor of a performance vehicle such as the Z06, Shelby, Cobra, etc is hard to top. Even more so if the Raptor in question is going to be a weekend warrior and not a DD. My modified turbo diesel is a blast to drive. It has torque for days, sounds like a pissed off jet airplane and has enough balls to run a pretty good race against a lot of vehicles on the road. Not to mention after the fun time I can hook it to anything and pull it anywhere I want. But at no time does it ever hold a candle to my car and neither will the Raptor when it arrives next month.

OP, if it were me, I'd keep the Vette because yes you will miss it terribly if you sold it. If you can't swing both right now, I'd wait until you have the funds to keep and enjoy the best of boths worlds. The Raptor will provide a level of fun in certain areas that the Vette just isn't capable of but so too will the Vette provide more fun in areas the Raptor can't touch. Ultimately it's what's best for you and your preference. If you idea of stress relief and fun involves spirited driving on corner carving roads, the Vette is your ticket. If you really enjoy getting off the beaten path, off roading or want to try something new then the Raptor will be better suited for you. I just know that for me, no pick up will ever be able to top my performance car.

All I can add to the conversation is that I'm a lifelong Motörhead, and all the cars , 1968, 1969 Camaro's, Corvettes , Superduty's and all the other great cars over the years, I've only had one rig that while driving it I didn't envy something else I spied going down the road...and that vehicle is my Raptor. Now when I see the new Stingray.....I get a bit of that envy, but then I just drive over a curb or find a rough dirt road and FLY down it.....

Love the Raptor. I'm home for good with this one. No more searching required.

I had a 2011 supercharged grand sport. After I bought the raptor I never drove the vette. After a year I finally sold it. To be honest I don't miss it. I love my Raptor

I have an '09 Z06 which I'm fortunate to be able to keep, and have my Raptor (also have a '66 Big block convertible Corvette, but that's another story)!
I'd hate to sell the Z, since it's such an awesome highway burner car!! I still love to step back and look at the lines of the car - mine's Cyber Gray, so the lines show really nicely (a lot like your blue does)!
I love my Raptor though, and if I had to chosse, the decision would really be a tough one to make!! If your Z is no longer speaking to you loud enough to make you love it everyday, then by all means give the Raptor a shot!! I know you'll love the Raptor, but I also know you'll miss the Z too...
A really tough decision...

Being from the NE, I loved my convertible 08 that was modded, but with a motorcycle, I only drove it 2000 miles a year. Only so many decent weather days. The raptor is fun everyday. I will buy another vette at some point, but the raptor is not going anywhere.

The all year driving is what is really starting to sway me towards a Raptor. It sucks parking something 6 months out of the year.

No regrets here... I have way more fun with my Raptor then I ever had in any of my muscle cars... but then again I still have my bike to have fun on as well.

Some of the more rare sports cars I've had over the past several years; 93 Cobra R (1 of 107), 95 Cobra R (1 of 250), and 02 Viper Final Edition ACR (1 of 34)...along with a lot of more "normal" production vehicles like Lightnings, Cobras, and Viper RT/10s. It was when the real estate market started to fold, that I sold all my cars and began to invest in land, development, and rentals.

This year, I've finally gotten my ROI at a level I felt comfortable buying another "toy". I was looking at buying a 2008 to 2010 Viper ACR under 5k miles, but those Vipers will still be able to be found 10 years from now, at a price not much different had I bought one today. But trying to find a 2010 to 2014 Raptor with mileage under 5k several years from now, probably not likely.

Besides, when I do get my next sports car, I know what I'll be towing it with!

I didn't really think of the being able to find another low mileage Z06 down the road.
