Although we don't have 100% confirmation yet, sees highly likely that a Gen 3 Raptor will have the power generator option.

I thought the TFL video did a pretty good job of showing it in operation.

Most Raptor owners aren't going to be towing RVs, but a few have stated that they intend to do just that. And of course there are other needs for generators out there, and I can see new products spawn that will utilize this.

It really is an awesome feature. You could power your house in an emergency. or a huge tent with ac while camping. I have a '19 right now but if they come out with that 7.2 kW option im gonna be in a tough spot.

This is an option that will most likely make its way into most modern vehicles, highly attractive option, indeed.

I agree - I think we will see this feature coming on most vehicles since we already getting household style power outlets.
Anyone know if Ford is putting this in other vehicles with the other various engines? I would bet it would sell huge if it were an option on Super Duty trucks.

Certain models make perfect sense. Super Duty and Ranger are obvious. A bit surprised it's not already on the Bronco. I think it makes some sense on 'family hauler' models like the Explorer. But does it make sense on the Focus or Mustang? Perhaps years from now as people invent ways to use a generator like this.

Sort of a side thoughts on this. TFL did another video where they took the F150 out to a farmer to see what the famer thought of the generator. He loved the feature, but said he wouldn't get one for the farm as it's too nice of a truck for the farm. In short, it may be several years before people actually use it regularly for work since it may take a few years to penetrate like that. Gotta start somewhere though.

Other thought, haven't seen this talked about elsewhere, but the infotainment screen is clearly on in generator mode. So what else is running in generator mode besides what is plugged in to the bed? AC? Would be nice to sit in the truck with AC going running off the battery rather than idling the truck. Audio system? could be very nice. I can see some aftermarket systems setup to place marine speakers on the outside of the truck running off the main audio system.

I'd imagine that it'll all depend on what engine they put on the Raptor. If it's the 3.5L PowerBoost, it's likely that the 7.2kw generator will be available. If it's the hoped-for V8, I can still see the 2kw generator. I'd jump at the v8 with a 2kw generator -- it would make things like camping more accessible to a nearly fifty-year old like me who wants to bring the air mattress and needs the CPAP.

A V8 option would not have a battery to run your CPAP or anything else all night with idling the engine all night. I'm guessing you wouldn't want the noise or loss of fuel. A powerboost option would be much more effective.
