Are you using MPHD on your frame now? Mind posting some pics of what it looks like? I used to coat / re-coat my gen2 Icon leafs to both lube the squeaks and prevent rust… it did reasonably well… but wasn’t necessarily pretty. Curious what it looks like on flat exposed surfaces over time. At least it’s not like typical undercoat that gums up bolt threads, etc. and I’m assuming you have to re-coat reasonably often?Dirt doesn't cause corrision and rust. Water, mixed with other acid and bases do. So put MPHD or the like on it. It will be overkill, but I see salt 6 months of the year and my frame looks 100% better than that.
However, with the condition your frame is in now, you'd most likely have to sand it, repaint it, then coat it.
