Not sure if anyone posted regarding this - anyone notice this black thing on the left exhaust?

Its for vibration. It adds mass and may dampen some harmonics.

Theres probably a band in the rpm range where the exhaust may "sing" or vibrate. This "tuned mass" probably counters it.

It maybe only be needed on the left. I assume the left vs right arent identical pipes, different routing, bends, mounting points etc change the vibration response characteristics of the pipe. So from a dynamics pespective the two sides are different animals.

Since its for Harmonics they only put it where its needed. Just like with the Gen 1 we found dampers on the truck for Harmonics.

Take that off and the truck may break into the 4s. Then it can be used as a paperweight.
