Tell me about the Mustang. Have owned about 6 myself....96 Mystic, Procharged 02GT, 04 Mach1, 04 Cobra with Kennebell, 11 5.0, Procharged 15 GT.
It's my old clunker...

It's a 2008 Roush Stage 3. After the stock motor disintegrated its thrust bearing, I completely rebuilt the car (chassis, drive train, and interior) and I had a 5.0 302 stroker race motor built with FR cnc-ported heads, comp blower cams, and VMP Gen II blower... along with all the supporting mods including a Magnum XL trans.

Supposedly motor is capable of 1000hp (crank), but I don't want to run race fuel... And 750hp is scary enough. Lol

The raptor is the first vehicle I've purchased that I can't really think of improving. Outside of some of the issues we've seen on this board, there are really not many after-market things I feel the need to do. I've purchased a lot of vehicles in the past, starting from a civic (back in the F&F days), 93 RX-7, s2000, JKU Rubicon, g35, f150 (not in this order), and several others in between. but every vehicle before the Raptor I've modified as soon as I got them. I've modded every single motorcycle I've owned from crotch rockets to Harleys. The Raptor is just too perfect, I'm still trying to decide what wheels to purchase but outside of that, there's NOTHING ELSE TO DO! This is what retirement must feel like (I'm not retired, wish I was)

That is all.

I'm sorry you had a 93 RX-7... the old rotary motor was a definite challenge for so many of my friends.

In comparison, I test drove a 2021 Explorer ST after the 2020 Raptor and that Explorer ST blew my mind how fast it was. I loved its power delivery. Definitely was not expecting that level of performance... The wife is getting the ST!! Need that vehicle in the stable. Lol
Because the ST is over 1000+ pounds lighter

The ST is a beast though.

Not sure why the Raptor isn't 500hp stock... that's a good number for a performance vehicle.

Frankly I think +700hp in a truck is dumb... lol
Just like in a Jeep Wrangler... lol

Cool idea, but I don't see the practicality or use of that power. It's not like it's a hauler... lol

In an SUV, as long as it can handle (suspension) should be fun.

When I picked up my Raptor the Explorer ST was sitting right next to it and my wife jumped in. After a few days of thinking it over I realized that the Lincoln Aviator was its counterpart. I showed her a picture of the Aviator and it was over. I told her we are not racing them unless it's in the dunes.

Light bar for night time shenanigans, bedliner, and tint. That’s about it for me
I'm not sold on the light bar just yet. The headlights and two fog lights are bright as hell and cast a pretty wide net. Does a light bar offer something better than the stock lighting?

I think the theory is that you need Sun-level illumination at your disposal at all times.
