payload on Raptor will be 1410lbs, I'm guessing you all aren't 350lbs each so you should be able to haul stuff in the bed without an issue

Just keep in mind that accessories (tonnaeu, racks, etc) count against your payload.

How true is the above? We are a family of 4 .. wiil roadtrips in the Raptor not be as good as the Suburban we drive now? most of the time we travel with lots of luggage, bikes, and a dog but occasionally pull a trailer when transporting furniture to or from our 2nd home/vacation rental.

The Raptor is no payload king, but I took my 2018 on a road trip (3200 miles roundtrip) from AZ to WA. We camped the whole way, Sequoia, Yosemite, Redwoods, Pacific northwest beaches. Packed everything we needed for 4 (two teenage kids) 10 man tent cook stove all the kitchen stuff, bedding, ice chest, etc, etc. Ive owned Yukon Denali XL, Toyota Sequoia and a minivan. Raptor was at least as good a long hauler as any of those. IMO a more comfortable highway ride.
